Like many private colleges and universities, Pass Christian University relies on the generous donations of our friends, alumni, faculty, staff, and trustees to reduce the University's dependence on tuition income and keep education affordable.
Private donations allow us to continue our efforts to develop and deliver high-quality academic programs. By contributing to PCU, donors also touch the lives of our students in a very direct and tangible way by keeping tuition and fees low and by allowing us to offer reduced rates for students who otherwise could not afford to earn a degree.
Types of Giving
PCU benefactors can choose from several programs to match their giving goals.
- Annual Campaign
This is our biggest and broadest fund raising effort. Money donated to our Annual Campaign is directed to PCU's general fund, which allows the University's administration the greatest flexibility in budgeting.
- Scholarship Funds
PCU maintains three scholarship funds: Alumni Scholarship, Merit Scholarship, and Supplemental Scholarship. Donors may choose which fund they want to contribute to.
- Matching Gifts
Many employers will match employees' donations to worthy organizations. Check with your Human Resource office or with the PCU development office to find out if your employer is a matching donor to PCU.
- Gifts of Stock
If you prefer to make a gift of stock to the University rather than cash, contact our Development Office to learn how to complete the transaction.
- Corporate Giving
Corporations that recognize the value of a PCU degree for their employees or future employees are invited to include Pass Christian University in their corporate giving plans.
- Planned Giving
Benefactors who prefer to make a gift that will last long into the future might want to consider establishing an annuity. Our Development Office staff can help you explore this option.
- Bequests
By including PCU in their wills, donors can leave a legacy that will endure long after their passing.
How to Give
Pass Christian University accepts donations of cash via major credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover), check or money order.
If donating by credit card, we can accept your donation over the phone at 999-999-9999.
To pay by mail, please send the card holders name, credit card number, and expiration date, or check or money order to:
PCU accepts gifts of property or goods in addition to cash. Such donations require individual attention by our Development staff. Please contact the Development Office for further information.
Every gift received by PCU will be acknowledged in a letter including all the information you will need for tax purposes.
