Prospective Students:
College of Divinity
The College of Divinity at Pass Christian University offers programs to assist students in their personal spiritual growth as they prepare for careers in ministry. Divinity programs are non-denominational. While some individual courses cover the teachings of a wide range of specific religious traditions, course work in PCU's Divinity programs is generally focused on broader issues of spirituality, the nature of religious belief, and religious systems.
Divinity courses prepare students for a number of religion-related careers, including ministry, missionary work, religious education, and church administration. Divinity students will select courses from a broad curriculum, which includes such subjects as religious art and literature, study of sacred scriptures, religious history and politics, mythology, religious behavior, psychology, anthropology, philosophy, and sociology. Course work also includes studies in counseling, preaching, and church business management.
Learning is facilitated through faculty-led discussions as well as individual and team projects. Cooperative learning opportunities are available in some Divinity programs. Course work combines theory and practice with personal experience, and is designed to provide the essential skills for a career in religion or religion-related fields.
Divinity degree programs include:
- Personal Ministry
- Missions
- Sacred Literature
- Sacred Music
