Prospective Students:
College of Humanities
The College of Humanities at Pass Christian University offers programs to provide students with a solid foundation for a broad range of careers. While Humanities programs are not focused on vocational education, they do cultivate the basic skills that will prepare students for success in their chosen professions, such as effective writing, logical and critical thinking, public speaking and debating.
The courses offered by the College of Humanities include subjects such as religion, philosophy, music, languages, art, literature, and drama to give students a broad view of human behavior, thought, and values. Students are encouraged to study other cultures in order to broaden their knowledge and experience. A graduate with a Humanities degree may become a teacher, or they may use their degree as the groundwork for an advanced degree in a professional field such as law, medicine or journalism.
