College of Music

The College of Music at Pass Christian University offers programs to prepare students for a variety of careers in music. Whether a student wishes to combine music study with a rich liberal arts curriculum, or to intently study music as a path to a more specialized career, the College of Music programs will help to attain the student's goals.

The Music curriculum incorporates theory and practical practice, along with the student's professional experience, to prepare students for advanced careers in a wide range of music-related fields, including music education, composition, arranging, producing, performing, music business, music therapy, and music engineering. Students can also opt for a specialty in one instrument as a minor concentration.

Learning is facilitated through faculty-led discussions, individual and team projects, and cooperative learning opportunities, and is designed to provide the essential skills that will allow the student to pursue a primary or secondary career in music.

In addition to the standard hardware and software required for distance learning students, students who enroll in a College of Music program must meet requirements for specialized hardware and software. Please check with the College of Music or your advisor for specific information.

Music degree programs include:
  • Song Writing
  • Music Production
  • Music Performance
  • Music Arranging
  • Music Business
  • Music Therapy
  • Music Engineering
