Student Reviews:
"A complex course that was clearly and capably taught. I would not hesitate to take another course taught by Professor Power."
"Although I have been working with Word for some time
including making brochures and fliers I learned new and better ways to
produce them. I found the course very useful."
"An effective tool for learning! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will do it again."
"I enjoyed the class, lessons were easy enough to follow
through on my own. The quizzes made me go back and look for answers if
I did not know them right off. I learned a lot."
"I enjoyed the class, lessons were easy enough to follow
through on my own. The quizzes made me go back and look for answers if
I did not know them right off. I learned a lot. Thank You."
"I enjoyed this course very much, and I love the
instructor's "friendly" style and enthusiasm. I learned a lot of little
things that will enhance my use of Word."
"I have enjoyed learning from this course and I very much like your method of teaching."
"I loved the pace of this class. It started out with the
basics, and then moved onto more difficult projects. The projects all
used techniques from the previous chapters. I was able to retain
information and practices skills throughout the course. This course was
so helpful to me."
"I really enjoyed this course! I signed up for it in order
to learn how to design tickets for the choir that I'm in, and
discovered how to do so much more. I found it very empowering, since
I've been intimidated by computers in the past. Thanks so much!"
"I was impressed with the organization and ease of use of
this online program. This was my first experience and it was very
positive."
"I was very pleased with this course and the instructor.
This was my first time taking a course online and I was suprised at how
easily it was for me to follow. I utilized the discussion area once in
the beginning but the instruction was so comprehensive that I was able
to trouble shoot subsequent problems on my own. I plan to look for this
instructor again when registering for more online classes."
"The lessons were very informative and I surprised myself
with what I was able to create. I look forward to another course very
soon."
"This course is surely very informative and well designed
for easy understanding and follow through. I definitely have learned a
lot, especially on creating labels, menu, catalog and brochure."
"This course was great. It took a lot of guesswork and experimentation out of my projects."
"This course was perfect for people with a busy schedule. Very flexible and informative."
"This course was throughly enjoyable. I like the instructors
approach. It was at times as amusing as it was informative. I've
learned a lot because as a manager, I've used Word at a very high level
only. I look forward to taking the next course."
"This is my fourth on-line classroom and I have received the
best hands-on instructions within these six-week courses. I am able to
apply much of what I've learned to my computer skills on the job. I now
have co-workers asking for help and calling me "expert"."
"This is my second on-line class and I love it! The
convenience is so nice and I enjoy the flexibility most of all. The
course material is clearly written and easy to understand--I have
learned so much with this program. Thank you Mr. Power!"
"This is one of the best courses I've taken online. The
teaching assistant did a wonderful job. He/She is better than most of
the people who teach online courses. They can learn a thing or two from
this teaching assistant."
"This was a great learning tool for me. The explanations were wonderful."
"This was convenient, easy to understand and very informative. Thank you!"
"This was my first on-line class! It was well-organized,
provided easy to follow step-by-step instructions and just enough
"try-it-on-your-own" time, and solved anticipated problems...all with a
great sense of fun."
"This was so convenient and taught me so many creative
things. It was just what I've been looking for to increase my skills.
The lessions were just the right length to hold my interest."
"This was the best class I have ever taken. The instructor
explained everything so clearly that I felt that he was in the room
with me. I have never taken a online class before and thought that It
would be very hard for me to understand. I am sixty years old, and I
understood more with this instructor than I have with other Instructors
that was in a classroom teaching. The materials were clear and fun and
easy. In the future I intend to take as many online classes that I can.
I learned a lot."
"Thoroughly enjoyed the course and learned so much."
"Very easy to follow, detailed format and instructions! I
felt this course covered a broad range of useful tools in Word,
however, it didn't overwhelm me with too much detail. This was very
beneficial to me and enhanced my knowledge and skills in Word."
"Very good course. I learned a lot. I felt I learned in a
good deal of depth and thoroughness. I feel like I really understand
the material."
"Well written, light hearted and informative. I already knew
quite a bit of the lessons since I am jokingly referred to as the
'table queen' at work. Nonetheless, I did find a few tricks along the
way. My only regret that I wish I had taken this course before I had to
teach myself how to write a monthly newsletter. I learned the hard way
-- through trial, error and a lot of frustration. Your lessons make it
seems so easy!"
"When I enrolled for this class I wasn't sure whether it
would be useful. After a few lessons, it occurred to me that I could
use what I learned about flyers and business cards in a business I will
be starting later in the year. The knowledge about how to use tables
for layouts has been very valuable."
